Ms. Chasity Tierra Ellison departed this earthly life on Wednesday, November 20, 2013. She was born in Eatonton, Georgia on March 5, 1984 to the late Ms. Pricilla Louise Ellison and Mr. Willie Earl Harden.
“Chatt” as many called her, loved the Lord. At an early age Chasity joined Bells Chapel Baptist Church. She later moved her membership to God of Peace Ministries and became a teacher with the children’s ministry.
Despite the challenges that Chasity had to encounter, she always strived to exceed. She graduated from Putnam County High School in 2002 as the class valedictorian. In 2006, Chasity received a Bachelors of Science Degree in Organic Chemistry from Georgia College & State University in Milledgeville GA. She was initiated into the Sisterhood of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. in Spring of 2004. Chasity taught school in the Putnam County School System from 2007-2010 where she was employed as an 8th grade Science teacher. Keeping her dream alive of becoming a doctor, Chasity enrolled in the Philadelphia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2010. She studied there until her health began to decline.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Pricilla Ellison and best friend Angel Williams Collins.
Cherishing her memories are two sisters, Mauricia Harden and Sh’Derricka Lawson; loving caretaker, “Grandma”, Nellie Mae Evans (Ronnie); father, Willie Earl Harden; grandparents, James Richardson Sr. and Lois Harden; two aunts, Candice Ellison and Anica Richardson; two uncles, John Ellison (Bernadette) and James Richardson Jr. (Deondra); Godchildren, Amyah Ellison, Jaevien Turner, and Khaleb Turner; devoted family and friends, great aunt, Lucinda Andrews, cousin, Lisa Horton, God Mother Mary Reaves, friends, Larrenia Williams and Jerica Williams and a host of aunts, uncles, family and friends.
Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Omega Service will be held 7:00 PM, Friday, November 22, 2013 at God of Peace Ministries, 601 S. Jefferson Street, Eatonton, GA.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, November 23, 2013 at Greater Bell’s Chapel Baptist Church, 670 Oconee Springs Road, Eatonton, GA, Rev. Gregory Ellison, Pastor, Pastor John C. Ellison, Officiating.
